Artefacts are small architectural structures, false vestiges of utopian cities built intuitively in situ in the public space. Usually left in place, they are left to the elements, to the gaze of passers-by or to the attention of future archaeologists. They are a reminder of the impermanence of all things, and raise questions about the function of art beyond its commodity status.
