The Graspomaton was born out of a residency aimed at making art accessible to the general public as part of a festival.

In this reproduction of the vintage photo booth, a hidden artist draws quick portraits of visitors seated in front of a one-way mirror that they can take away. It is a space for reflection and a privileged encounter between the artist and the audience, as well as a place where people can spend a moment with themselves as they would in front of a work of art.
